About our gîtes

The cottages are all situated on quiet country lanes. The one next to La Lavande carries a very small amount of light local traffic. Apart from the postman and the bread man, there is virtually no traffic at all passing Chez Robert and Porcherat.

All cottages have enclosed gardens secure enough to prevent young children straying, and all are provided with barbecues and garden furniture. They all have their own washing machine. A tumble dryer, for the use of all holiday makers in times of inclement weather (rare, we hope, in summer), is available in one of the old barns near the main farm house. The gites have either fitted kitchens or kitchen furniture made from oak grown at Le Vignaud. Both provide you with a good, roomy area to prepare your meals. The equipment includes kettle, toaster, coffee maker, teapot, full-size cooker with grill, refrigerator and numerous pans (including chip pan). All cottages have microwaves.

There are wood-burning stoves in the kitchen of Porcherat, the main living room at La Lavande, Maison Fleury and in both kitchen and living room in Chez Robert.

In other words, there is everything we feel we would wished for when holidaying with our five children in years gone by. An evening in at La Lavande

The cost of electricity and gas are both included in the price, as is wood for the stoves. Bed linen is provided, but towels are not.

Travel cots and highchairs are available for toddlers at no extra cost.

Arrival / Departure

Saturday is a very busy 'turn-around' day for us at Le Vignaud. Your cottages will have been thoroughly cleaned and will be ready for you by 4 p.m.. Please don't arrive before then.

At the end of your stay, please try to be out of your cottage by 10 a.m., so we can get it ready for the next guests. Thanks.
